Rhodocybe is a small genus in the Entolomataceae, characterized by
spores which are more or less nodulose to weakly angular in microscopic slides, and pink to pinkish brown in deposit. In Europe about 20 species occur, some of them very rare. In recent times a number of new species have been described, particularly from southern Europe.
