Habit omphalioid or crepidotoid; lamellae distinctly decurrent; pigment incrusting, rarely in addition intracellular; usually with clamp-connections.

Habit Crepidotoid with eccentric or lacking stipe. Most species are saprophytes on dead organic material, wood, etc., sometimes parasitic on other mushrooms, in particular Cantherellus species. Thanks to Eric Danell is am able to show pictures of the last mentioned species.

Habit omphalioid, often with dark brown to brownish black colours; stipe well developed and centrally inserted.
